feces, lesson one

I went into the bedroom to see Andrea and Stella while Stella was feeding (it really is a beautiful site to see a mother feeding her child, because each time she does, they're developing a very strong bond, but anyway), and Andrea said, "go check out that diaper ( Read more... )

How old is Stella? Is she nursing?

Graham still has that great orangish poo...I love it because it is easy cleaning (even when up the back), smells the same every time, and doesn't have corn in it.

Caleb's is mushy, everywhere, and he's 2 so he hates sitting still for me to wipe him. It is a little game and gamble every morning when he comes out of his room and says to me, "Mama, me poopy! Yucky."
Plus, I have no concrete idea of when he's going to like his potty and his big boy underwear. I am praying my guts out, though. Ugh.

Estelle is 7 months, still nursing, but we're working on feeding her baby food these days.

Potty training is tricky. It totally depends on the kid. Sometimes they like it and sometimes it freaks them out.

Well, apparently girls are easier to train, so you've got a good thing there!

We should have the potty training races. You'd win, because Estelle is a girl and two months older, but perhaps then I'd be really motivated to make it EXCITING when Graham gets to the age.

...teenagers always complain about how their parents embarass them, but please -- nothing holds a candle to dealing with baby feces (and, a year or two later, loud public discussions about feces with random strangers at the grocery store).

When you become a parent, it is the one thing that bonds you - baby feces.

And, if you're nursing, nipple chomping.

nipple chomping is okay if you're married, too

you think them sitting on the toilet marks the end of dealing with poo?
