You will all think I'm crazy-- I'm sitting in the Burbank Public Library (North Branch) doing some last-minute studying. Two days ago, I wasn't even planning on being here. I'm interviewing with Ameriflight tomorrow morning, and I'm fairly well freaking out, trying to be prepared for all of it ( Read more... )

Heh, I don't imagine you know me. I friended you a while back because every time I saw your adorable Gloria icon, it pleaded to me, "Friend me! Friend me!"

:P

Anyway, I'm a friend of Gloria's and Devon's (and likely several other people you know). Your post jumped out at me, firstly because I've never seen you post before, and secondly because I'm in Claremont right now, nary 40 miles from Burbank.

Not that either of us would probably have the means to bridge that gap in order to meet a complete stranger ;)

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, and wish you the best of luck.

Ah yes... Burbank! The very first of literally hundreds of flights as a passenger! I was sitting around at home in Thousand Oaks when one of my friends called and told me to meet him down at Burbank Airport! This was well before Bob Hope or Glendale... so anyway, I told my mom I didn't know where I was going and I didn't know when I'd be back and then hopped in the 'stang and headed on down. I met two of the conspirators out in front of the terminal and they told me we wre going to Vegas, but of course non of us had tickets.

We hopped from counter to counter until we discovered America West, who had a flight all ready to to for us! We paid $60 each for round trip tickets and off we went on my very first of many trips to Vegas! We spend the night in the Keno lounge at the Tropicana taking turns playing Keno while the other two slept...

Woo hoo!

That's it! Good luck!

Good luck dude! Yeah, I never liked Burbank. ; )

But any airline that wouldn't have you is a bloody dump. I'd sooner fly with you than anyone else.

We'll be praying for you pal.
