I'm ambivalent about my work day today. On the one hand, my customers set up about 5 or 6 awesome fandom-related jokes for me. On the other hand, nobody who would understand them was there to hear it. So I just giggled and made myself look crazy.

Good day y/n?

I work in customer service, as a cashier mostly :P Yeah so my job is to smile and scan your items, not make witty fandom-related retorts to the mostly blokey customers.

In the future when I'm done studying I'll be a teacher but for now this is what I do ;)

Yeah, I think embracing my nerdiness more has made it worse, I keep laughing out loud a lot more too because I have more of a 'I don't care what you think, I'm having fun' attitude than I perhaps should.

Ha, happens to me too. I'm surrounded by people who don't know my fandoms and wouldn't get the jokes, so I just sit there smiling.

I probably look crazy ffs.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I guess that's why we also post on here, where people get it :)

It's You! I know you! We are friends in Real Life (TM).

My first Chem prac in second year we were all in pairs, and we had blue gloves. It was awesome. There were some people who got it, and others for whom it cemented my status as the Weird Girl (also TM).
