The first splurge of Grizedale Reunion is done. *skips around* So why am I so apprehensive about launching myself into the edit? *laughs to self* Perhaps it's cuz it's taken me two bloody years to write it. I. Am. A. Lazyarse. 43.5K in two years is disgusting. I remember how much fic I used to churn out. That's probably why I'm posting old stuffs

Might I make a suggestion? Before editing, why don't you take a break? Have a dirty love affair with a book and a bottle of wine. You can edit knowing that you have a meaningless fling, and that your brain appreciated the break.

Well it's taken me that long to write it it was like having a two year break anyway. I'm reading something atm but am awaiting something being sent to me which should be a tad more inspiring.

I'll have the wine tho, hehe.

I like 80's stuffs - I seem to have missed out on anything since, except people like Coldplay and David Gray and the like. Japan, Bowie, Ryuichi Sakamoto. (YEM), Bauhaus....

Ryuichi Sakamoto...omg, yes! I only heard a tiny bit of him. Bauhaus, I was talking about the Maxell tape TV ad yesterday too to carbonkid70. I could watch that over and over...and I did.

Gabriel was on the TV...was it The One Show last week? I didn't recognise him. Seems I liked his name so much I pinched it for SIWF but didn't know.

as for writing and music, since i won't call the nonsense i produce as proper 'writing', i will say that i cannot listen to any music when i write - i get distracted, mind wanders, get ga-ga - the creativity of the music competes w/ creative urges and purges (the same cannot be said about my 'professional writing' since it is dry and well...work)

i will NOT hijack this thread as i am want to do b/c i haven't had a Sylvian discussion in ages, but, here is Monsieur Sylvian from Sept. 2009 looking like a dignified dish :)
