Today i got my wisdom teeth pulled. I must say it sucks. My jaw hurts, my teeth are bleeding, and i can only take 2 vicodines every three hours when it feels like i need them every 5 minutes. But thank god they put me to sleep. I have to say, i didnt like the way they put me down. It took me like 10 minutes to fall asleep, but when i got my tonsils ( Read more... )

I feel for you, my Baby Sister had hers take out about a month ago, took her three weeks before she'd even talk to me again, that's just how much she hurt... and don't forget, don't drink with a straw, not sure if they told you that. Take care, feel better.

ps... real friends share their vicodin ;)

ehh they arnt as bad as i thouht they would be, one side hurts and the other doesnt. But i think they had to dig deeper on the side that hurts cuz it was more impacted than the other...but i vicodine takes care of it haha

you might not though, really its not that bad...compaired to my tonsils being taken out and the after effect that i had....yea i would be scared for you if you had to get your tonsils out if you havent already.

did you get all 4? im going to the dentist tuesday to find out when they can pull mine, cause i already know it needs to be done. i refuse to be put to sleep though, that scares me lol

Personally, being awake for it, I really don't think it's that bad. Then again, I didn't really have the option to be put under because my health insurance wouldn't cover it and it would've been an extra $400.

But yeah, I just brought a discman with me (mostly for background noise and something to hold onto) and focused on my breathing. That kept me fairly calm throughout most of the procedure.

I had to have two cut out because they were impacted and the other two pulled.

I'm sorry you're having such a horrible time with things. I guess I was lucky when I had my taken out because, aside form the dry socket, the pain was pretty minimal and the recovery time was fairly quick.

Two vicodin every three hours though - you must either have a high tolerance or something because I remember taking two of those, getting glassy eyes and forgetting how to spell words. Heh.

I would think you'd be okay. I mean, the only time I remember having any real pain or discomfort was when I got dry socket, but you haven't mentioned anything abou that and not everyone gets it.

yea i have heard alot of people getting that....god i would absulutly die if i were to get dry sockets. I do have to take a vicodine every 3 hourse and mgs of motrine every six hourse so i dont feel any pain.
