Pre-SAT time is always insane, but the week before the June SAT is the absolute craziest. When I wasn't having a blast with ruakh, frieden, labbygail, socrates208, Matt, and Yevgenia, this week, I was tutoring droves of panicked young 'uns. ohh no. a test being fair that cant happen. just so u know this is making the sat seem more like the gre. It was great being over your place friday night. Are ye going to the Elyse party? if so i think we should come up with a travel plane for the cleveland people going to the party.

i was thinking of walking you know i could lose some weight, but then i remebered i was lazy so I am going to be driving. Yeah it would be cool if we went together. Been thinking about things all day strange I tell you. Might post about it soon.

Unfortunately, I can't believe that the playing field will ever be fair in these tests. Just wait a year and you'll be seeing books come out entitled 50 Top Scoring SAT Essays and How to Use Grammar the Kaplan way. And just think, next year you may be teaching wide-eyed rich kids to avoid overextending their syntax and to come up with essay ideas on the fly.

Writing critic is subjective, this sucks. It makes the SAT subjective, which it BAD for a standardized test.

how will they grade it? will people knead two now hoe too spel without a spell checker

I don't think spelling will be a factor (except insofar as the graders might have difficulty understanding misspelled words), but "grammar, usage, and mechanics" will be one. [link]
