'Edges' actually reminded me of Miles Edgeworth. Uhm. Anyway...
So last Saturday, some of my favorite people and I watched
Maronne's play. Last play of hers was last year, Rock & Rule. Edges was a lot shorter (4 people = entire cast!) and there wasn't any dialogue. I don't know why I'm stating the differences between the two.
Moving on!
Terry picked me up (with the company of
Blender and Patco), so off we were to Katipunan!
These two didn't even get to watch R&R last year because they arrived too late -- so late that their reserved tickets got sold!
Sometimes I like to poke fun at ADMU and call it 'omg the areneo!1!!', just because being ditzy is kinda funny. Sometimes.
what is this face of constipation i see
Into the land of blue.
I had urged Terry to be early to avoid any lines and to get good seats. We were so early (an hour prior to the show time) that we arrived before the tickets did!
DS time!
Hey Ted, DulaanROC seriously needs to have some weekend shows! Otherwise I'll never be able to watch any of YOUR plays. ;___;
Waiting for the tickets and open house. Hello rings!
There was a whiteboard where you could write notes for the cast. Naturally, we left the typical love notes.
So since we were the first to arrive, first to purchase tickets and the first to enter as soon as it was open house, we got front row. Quite a big difference from being in the back (OR OUTSIDE WATCHING SHADOWS) at R&R last year. Well, Edges has only 4 people in its cast, as opposed to the 3589374698 people in R&R...LOL k nvm.
We took up the entire front row (since we reserved some seats for the other who weren't there yet, hihi), and it was so awesome.
I didn't take any pictures last play (since I was told I couldn't, but a lot of people took photos anyway) and I didn't bother asking if photographing was allowed. I was in front row. How can you resist NOT taking any pictures, even just one, when you're in flipping FRONT ROW? It's quite magical.
This is the entire Edges cast!
Gab has such a great voice. It was nice meeting you, btw!
Korean girl (RACIST! Hurrhurr I love doing that) had a pretty voice, too.
I noticed that her outfits were all in reds while Maronne's were in pinks. Uhhh. Okay.
He made me laugh the hardest! What an entertainer.
I only took pictures towards the end of the play, seeing as I wanted to pay attention to the story and all ('cause I have a tendency to not pay attention to what's happening in an event whenever I'm too focused on documenting it -- this is what my high school curricular life made me realize HARHAR)
Ana and I right after the play. We sat next to each other, just like last time. :)
Of course, a group picture post-show is the most obvious obligation.
My wonderful, wonderful friends.
♥
Tina Ramos! The first time we met was after the R&R show, and the first thing I told her at the time was that she has such an amazing voice.
It's been a good while of online flirting since.
When
Jam met Tina. (I'm still Tina's favorite though) HURRHURRRR
Thesis group, two years later!
Leaving more love notes. Jam wrote 'I WANT UR BABIES'
'I want to hug you in the sister song' Dunno who wrote that, but that song almost made me cry! I had to hold it in 'cause I didn't know why I was getting teary HAHAHAHA That's just how awesome the play is, hihihi.
Suddenly, Ana had to leave.
Stephy is immaculate and we are blasphemous. Inside joke from Halloween 2008.
What's that look for, Belinder?
Janelle and Jam!
Spotted: a fake Korean!
Quiet zone. Ssshhhh.
We decided to go get something to eat at Banapple.
Waiting for Terry's retrieval of her car from parking.
On the way to Banapple. Bye-bye Ateneo!
We, the people in Terry's car, along with the driver herself, were not aware that there was a newer, bigger Banapple across the old one.
We left before the others since I had to get home. It was getting dark, and we got in the car before the rain poured.
Later that night, after dinner, I had an awful allergic reaction to this shrimp dish my mama always makes. This was the third time it ever happened in my life (first time was a surprise so I ended up going to the hospital instead of school, second time was barely anything), and it was the worst.
It wasn't even half as bad as it really got when this picture was taken. At first it was my fingertips that were itching, and I though 'OKAY MIND OVER MATTER. IT ISN'T ITCHY IT ISN'T ITCHY IT ISN'T ITCHY', but it wasn't working. Suddenly it was as if my fingertips were numb, and then I noticed they were swelling. My ears were itching by the time. I thought it was just me, until I looked into the mirror.
It got so bad that I was getting hysterical on my bed, crying because the itching wouldn't go away. I may have gotten tats, had my ears pierced, shrugged off injections and IVs, but THIS. It was so bad. It wouldn't go away. Itching is a different pain from...real pain, you could say. At some point it felt like ants were munching on my body.
Terry, whom I had been chatting with from the beginning, suggested I get an ice pack or something. I got my dog's cooling mat (think a bigger ice pack with the cold lasting less), and lay my stomach on it. Granted, the itching toned down a good notch, but I think I started palpitating when my stomach came in contact with the harsh cold. I thought I was going to die. I think I might've actually wanted to just die right then and there at some point, just to make everything go away. It got THAT bad, I swear.
I only decided to wake my parents up when I researched and found out one could really die from allergies. Um, what. So we rushed to the hospital. Only 2 people knew of this, Terry being one of them (since we were talking while I was going insane) and Janelle being the other, since she reacted to my allergies YM status.
It was a horrible, horrible way to end the day. Nevertheless, thank you so much for the great afternoon, friends. See you again soon. I'm glad to be alive.
Amidst my pain and hysteria, I was bothered by the fact that they still placed me in the pedia area. I turned 18 this May.
