Cockatoos are so pretty! I love parrots though I don't have one myself. Maybe someday.

Yes I love all birds. I have a family who have cockatoos & macaws & African grays so I've been surrounded by them.

They are a lot of work but I love them.

scooter is such a pretty bird! i love that she's waiting for you to lay an egg.

that's so odd about your teeth. i didn't know that sometimes people just don't grow adult teeth. but good that you can eat without pain!

i also really like elementary and the blacklist (i'm watching for james spader, really :D ). good stuff.

Very interesting about your teeth! Hurray for dentures!

I hate writing "about me" stuff too…never feels authentic.

Looking forward to reading your writing!

I haven't ditched my PVR either, and I record *A LOT* of shows, very much the same ones you do... I also use Netflix, as I also love older generation of mystery-type of shows as well. Netflix is used during my pet sitting jaunts, no more carrying DVDs with me to play on my laptop when I'm not busy caring for my client's fur-babies!

You have a beautiful Cockatoo... I don't know much about birds, but do they "sing" to you? *grin* Birds are not my area of expertise *grin*

Wow, no teeth! I have known a couple of people who had a baby tooth that never got replaced (and the tooth always eventually bows out), but never all of them. Thank goodness for alternatives and modern dentistry, where there's a chance at something both useful and comfortable.

The idea of your cockatoo waiting for you to lay an egg cracked me up. Would she expect you to sit on it for weeks and weeks, or want to do it herself?

Yes I'm a bit of a weird dental case :)

She pulls out all her bottom belly feathers as you can see in the picture above, so I believe she would wish to sit upon the eggs herself, perhaps she thinks I will crush them.
