Great blazing bakeries, i may have just stumbled upon the best mocha of my life. That, or cinnamon is quite simply better than sex. The
Woodstar Cafe also has the best vegetarian wrap i've had at a coffee shop; if you ever find yourself hungry in
Northampton, stop by for a Henry('s Garden wrap).
So today i'm working a WMLA table for a few hours with Melanie and possibly someone else. Now in Blacksburg the policy is appreciated and generally respected that people at tables or with leaflets refrain from actively confronting passers-by, and this makes me feel substantially more comfortable doing the work; i have a depressingly long history of trying to be likable and it still keeps me from seeking employment of any even marginally intrusive character (e.g. phoning alumni for VT). I've been fortunate never to have needed to take up such crap work, and i absolutely refuse to adopt that attitude for volunteer work. Whether it's expected of me will heavily influence my opinion of the advocacy group.
Meanwhile, if i make all four major trips on the frontburner this Summer i will be exceedingly happy: Europe (specificity pending);
Monterrey, Nueva León, Mexico;
Viña del Mar, Valparaiso, Chile; and
Madison, Wisconsin*. Anyone i should say hi to?
* I dunno about anyone else, but i think the "pb" in "pbwiki" should be legislated to stand for "peanut butter".
