That OP is of Asian descent herself right? Because I don't really see it, I forget that Asians can be horrible and ignorant about other Asians. Urrrrgh.
Yeah, she is. I know it shouldn't, but it really surprises me that other people find pictures/captions like that very funny. Maybe she thought that being Asian gives her the right to make fun of other Asians. Such an ignorant way of thinking.
She actually apologized to me. But I think its more because she thought she offended me and not because she thought she did anything wrong by posting the picture. I'm so sad because I really liked her. Guess its time I start cleaning up my FB account.
*shakes head* I don't even know what to say when meet with such stupidity. Good on you for telling her off sweetie. And if she defriend you, by all means let her, because if this is her idea of fun you're better of without her..;))
IKR?!! Its difficult to find out that I have friends who are that ignorant and inconsiderate. She apologized for offending me, but I don't think the message went through. And that is just sad!
Ugh, that's just ... I can't STAND people who makes posts like that. How can people possibly think that's funny? I'm glad you spoke up, bb! I know how hard it is for me to say anything in those situations, so all of the props to you.
That was my reaction when I saw her post for the first time. IKR?!! It just makes me cringe whenever people make such tasteless jokes.
Thanks bb! I'm really usually not confrontational. But somehow, the picture (and connecting it with the Chinese New Year) and her response to her friend's comment really infuriated me so much that I knew I had to speak up. I don't even care if other people think I'm being too sensitive about it. It just shows their ignorance.
