I admit, it is a bit odd that the guy followed you - maybe it's new and he doesn't know a lot of Who fans though? At least he seemed pretty harmless!

Maybe he was. He told my sister he liked meeting other Doctor Who fans that's why he chased after us. And he did look harmless that's why we talked with him.
