They are neither an American citizen--they are not a citizen at all; they are a corporation--and they're not even an American corporation. Hence they are not protected under our Constitution, nor should they be IMHO (any more than illegals should be. No American citizenry = no rights of American citizens). Too bad. On the contrary, BP is a foreign,/i> entity which has harmed American shores, grossly. This is not a new thing for them, in fact. They had already poured many times the "allowable" amount of mercury into our Great Lakes (see one of my earlier posts, not too far back). If anything, I find his tough line vs. BP to be right on, very American and a Patriotic act (as opposed to the Patriot Act :p ), defending our shores.
Besides, bottom line? BP doesn't need you, or any of us, to come to their defense. In the words of the late great George Carlin, [corporations] don't care about we the people "at all. At all. AT ALL
