Always and forever
truth is but a lie
Hold me close and breathe the word
Tomorrow I shall die...

Popular.
"Isn't that funny" she spoke with a hint of sarcasm in her voice "a note for me?" her best friend Kasia just glared at her, while she waved the tinted yellow envelope around her head. Karen wasn't a nice girl, to often obsessed with her popularity. She never really bothered to take notice of anyone else. She was beautiful, long jet black hair and bright green teardrop shaped eyes, Tall and skinny with not even a blemish on her pale coloured skin. She was talked about, by everyone whether they liked her or despised her, or just simply wanted to be her. She had a rich daddy and every guy who had ever seen even a glimpse of her adored her. But as always, the one who had everything, wanted more, and now she had her eye on her Kasia's brother. She took the letter and as quick as anything she ran her delicate hands over the fold and opened it. To her surprise it wasn't from who she thought it would be, the note inside to cruel to be any man. "To shadow in the footsteps of you?! I despise you! Your every little being right down to your soul. I crush it with as little as a breath of my heart, for you are nothing. That is where you'll stay." the note dropped to the ground, how dare anyone do this to her? Kasia smirked at her. She knew then, it was her. The only person she had ever really cared about had just ended her everything. She knew she only ever had one friend, even through all the guys and all the people who wanted to be her. Now she had no one, but a rich daddy who was never there, and a bunch of maids who barely spoke a word to her in fear of being screamed at. She turned; her face had not yet changed from the look of shock that seemed to shadow the entire room. She glanced straight at Kasia, and with one quick movement she was on the floor. Karen towered over Kasia, who was so terrified she covered her face in anticipation of what was yet to come. Karen paused her hand in the air as she realised what she was doing, what has she become? No better than her mother she had always loathed for leaving her father when she was just a child. Her beauty and popularity had taken over her and changed her into a monster. No longer did anyone appreciate her for her personality but more for her power. She brought her hand down, now bleeding from the Blow to Kasia's head and looked at it. She studied every little line and mark and remembered being a child. Her mother’s voice, her fathers smile. The replaying of her primary school years, and her innocence. She lowered her arm once more and held out her hand, Kasia looked at her. "I'm sorry,” she said with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry for everything" Kasia smiled "I'm sorry too Karen" She opened her arms and hugged Kasia and with that breath onwards she knew it was over, her reign, the popularity that had consumed her. She was just another girl. But this time, she was a girl who was loved.
