In August 2005 I intent to cosplay as Miss Valentine from One Piece with my husband Toby as Mr 5. His costume is nearly complete already. Mine needs some work. Therefore I am going to document the making of this costume in this journal.
Here's two pictures of Miss Valentine for those who dont know her.

I'm not very active on LJ, I just float around some communities so I'm not sure if I'm the best person to add, but I don't mind. ^^
That's pretty darn amazing that your husband cosplays too! I am truly stunned. I take it he's an anifreak too. :P I saw in your profile that you're a fan of Full Moon wo Sagashite. *thumbs up* Fantastic series! I see we at least have the same taste!

My husband hasn't cosplayed yet but he hasn't protested about it too much either. He's actually made suggestions as to what should be in the costume :) I dont think I'll ever be able to forget how lucky I was finding him for a husband. Where most couples sit down to watch Eastenders together, we sit and watch Bleach.
And as for Full Moon Wo Sagashite, I dont think I could love that series anymore. I watched it when it first appeared on fansub and laughed and cried (a lot) right the way through. Takuto is the ultimate bishie :D~ I've recently found the manga so I'm starting to read through that. It really is a great series.

You are definitely lucky to have a guy like that. I personally think Eastenders rots the human brain. (along with every other soap in the universe).
Keep us updated on the cosplaying though! I would love to see this costume when its finished. ^^

Do I make my own costumes? Yes, I'll be making most of it. I might buy a white dress and dye it if worst comes to the worst but hopefully I'll be sewing it myself. My aunt is a seamstress so she'll be helping me out. This is the first cosplay that I've ever done so I dont have any pictures to show you from before. The only dressing up I've ever done in the past was either for a school play or on a University social even (a bunch of us went as Men in Black once which was fun). It's really great that my husband wants to do this with me. I think he's as excited as I am about it. :)

My mum used to sew a lot, and I love to sew, thing is all the stuff I do comes out awful. I made a dress once and it came out completely wrong. Although it almost looked like a fashion statement of sorts ...
You most definately must post images of you and your hubby together cosplaying. I look forward to it. Oh, and MiB, that's a cool idea. Did you try and erase anyone's memory of that night after forcing them to have yaoi sex ... XD Joking!
