I was patient, giving Futma a chance, but since she blew it, I can comment now.
As I said at the end of the beta... I love this, as I do all your stories, because I can so easily visualize everything you write.... and feel everything your characters do... the ture mark of a great writer.

And, NO this does NOT excuse you from the writing meme. Get cracking on it!

I just tortured myself by reading the parts that make me cry...like... three more times. It's just. so. sad. But beautifully, effectively, realistically sad. Just GUH.

Dude. I have been crying at work ALL DAY. This was just the start of it. In a way, it was almost like this prepared me for the day ahead, so it was all good. :-)

Enjoyed this piece about Martin. I didn't much enjoy his addiction story line (kind of cliche with cops who are injured), though I like how Danny helped him. Was the girl at the end of the piece that new hispanic character they introduced this past year? (Sorry I can't remember her name off the top of my head; I didn't watch WAT much during the summer hiatus.)
