Um, how about hot drinks vending machines (hot cans of coffee, corn soup, etc.) and ice cream vending machines? Did you have Gothiloli on that list? Um... Harajuku bridge, complete with cosplayers and Free Hugs guys. Shops the size of cupboards. Shops that are more stalls than shops (I'm looking at you, OOO). Fireworks. Festival food (fish on a stick! banana on a stick! ice in a cup!). Keitai - mobile phones that do everything except make you a cup of tea. Hosts. Street performers. Highschoolers.

According to my Japanese housemate there are vending machines in Japan that sell used underwear from high school girls for about £30 a pair. Apparently one region wanted to ban them and so dredged up an old law that states that vending machines can't sell antiques!
