Living in Northern California has been very exciting for the past couple of weeks. There are several fires in all directions of Arcata, except for West because the ocean is the only thing out there. Because of the several fires Arcata has been covered in smoke for the past week. 299 has been on restricted flow because there is a fire in Whiskeytown

It's great to hear from you! it's wonderful to know you're doing so well. It's great that you have a direction and that you can go somewhere that will make you happy and a lot less stressed. I'm also glad to hear that you found someone that makes you truly happy.

I know your frustrated with your mom, but she will and can only accept your choices when she's ready. Remember that you are her baby; she's only trying to help and protect you. It's just too bad she's going about it in a way that is not supportive. I know it's lame, but can you talk to her about some of the little things that you and your girl do by substituting in "a friend of mine" instead of her name? It's really sad that you and your mom can talk about things like this. I hate it when you just want to share bits of your life with someone but they are not willing to listen.
