I really loved this, especially how Gordon was echoing Joker's lines in his own head. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much! This means so much, as I've only recently started foraying into Batman fiction, despite being a fan for years, and I just started reading one of your stories, and I absolutely love it ( ... )

I think this is the first Arkham City-based fanfic I've ever come across... I wish there were more out there! What a great read. I loved the way you described Gordon's observation of the end scene, with Batman carrying out Joker's body. I never thought of it that way before, but it is a fascinating observation.

Have you read the Arkham City: End Game comic by any chance? There is a part in the last issue where Gordon asks Batman if there's anything from Joker that Batman would like to keep, and he catches himself, because it sounds as if he's implying he'd want to keep it for sentimental reasons. Your writing here just made me think of that. Gordon could see how connected they were, much to Batman's chagrin. :)

Thank you so much, this is such a lovely and thoughtful review! I can't speak for everybody, but I found the last scenes of Arkham City very sad and touching, and the relationship between Batman and the Joker had always fascinated me, all that ambiguity and grey area. I found the Joker's death very sad - I know he's not the sort of character that you should actually like, or mourn for, but I always found the Joker to be a strangely loveable character, in a completely inappropriate way ( ... )

Aw, thank you so much, that's such a lovely thing to say!

I don't mean that it's lovely that I made you cry - that kind of schadenfreude really would be channeling the Joker a little too much - but it's lovely that you think it was good enough to reflect what I thought was a pretty damn sad ending to Arkham City!

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, and I'm sorry I made you cry! Have some tissues. *Hands over*
