In my high school Spanish class, we used to watch a Spanish soap called Destinos (it wasn't a real soap, but it was set up like one, but also to teach basics). It was pretty cool, though. It's a much more interesting way to learn than just repeating verb conjugations and reading the book.

Oh crap, we used to watch Destinos too! I don't remember anything about it, but I do remember the name. We also watched the Spanish version of The Cat in the Har. El Gato en el Sombrero!.. or something. Thank you, drive through.

I guess that soap was prolly good but since movies like Selena and La Bamab are primarily in English I see no reason for them besides a time filler.
