you should pray about it. let's be honest with ourselves, we can't be great at everything we want to. but you are an amazing musician... whether or not you have a great singing voice.

just because you arent the perfect singer doesnt mean you shouldnt be a music major. it just means you arent a perfect singer

honestly, i doubt musical performance is really that much in your future. i see you more on the production side... because i see how passionate you are about it... and from what it sounds like, it sounds like you are REALLY strong in that area.

I started at the bottom of every ensemble of I've ever played in. In high school I realized I wanted to be a music major and knew nothing but a little rock guitar - unfortunately the guidance department decided that since I was a senior (I guess) they would put me in 'advanced' orchestra - with kids that had been playing since 6th grade and were now in 10th, 11th and 12th (I had never played a bowed instrument or read bass clef before - the string bass was chosen for me as its strings matched the guitar bass notes). Similar experiences at RU in guitar ensemble, chamber orchestra and University Chorus (okay, the latter doesn't matter quite so much as you - ahem - 'blend in to the crowd' a lot more ( ... )
