I'm pretty sure you're joking but I've pretty much come to the belief that anyone who's calling for Garrard (or if they're a real idiot Matt Jones) doesn't know squat about football. I honestly can't believe that so many people think Leftwich shouldn't start this season. To a certain degree I think it's racist. Obviously the Jags have all black quarterbacks (I refuse to count Hybl) but Leftwich doesn't play "like a black quarterback". He's classic drop back and that pisses some people off.

ive never understood why people call for Gerrard. There is no doubt Leftwich is better, and Gerrard really isnt that good! He is mediocre.

But here is my query. I remember watching Matt Jones in college. Twice, (yes, twice) He singlehandidly brought back his team against the gators as quarterback. Seriously, there is something about him thats just special. Sometimes players have an unnerving quality where everything they do almost seems divine and playmaking (brady, vick, Ricky pre drugs) why was every scout so adamant about havingr to be a WR? hell, its preseason, cant he take some reps as QB? I would LOVE to see Matt Jones play some QB. As for Byron Leftwhich? I dunno. Only time can tell, but he reminds me of a young Drew Bledsoe, which is good I guess, if you like 8-8. Anyway, i'm done
