Huh. I've been listening to some mix CDs of Eminem's music (which brings me au courant with roughly 1999... yay!) and I've definitely got a lot more respect for rap. At least insofar as it resembles Eminem's music. These songs are, like, four-and-a-half-minute-long tonguetwisters with serious, eloquently-expressed messages. (Most of them.) And

One more thing- if you want to hear the best done-in-one-shot rapping ever, listen to Snoops lines in "Ain't Nuthing But a G-thang". It's probably the best rap tune ever, and it's what single-handedly launched Snoop to stardom.
