Well, I did it. Passed my big massage exam last Wednesday, and I'm now making $35/hour. It's times like these that I think of those who used to tell me how I'd never be HAPPY--only content with my life. I'm quitting my job at Target tonight. Just wanted to let everybody know, because I HATE that place and I'm happy to be leaving it. Everyone out there that may read this--don't ever work in retail if you can help it. Anyway, gotta go. Applying for a job at Blockbuster today. Hopefully that won't suck as hard as Target.

Lately I've been experiencing a lot of new things...growing up, I suppose, and learning a lot. Before now I knew what it was like to connect with another person on a deep level, but it was never the kind of connection I had been searching for. There are a lot of things that people want to accomplish in life-the typical human response to being given life and air and brainpower seems to be to set goals for herself, to strive for things in the future. I don't have much new to say today, except that I couldn't go to school yesterday because I couldn't move my left arm when I woke up. Couldn't move it. Really. Things aren't getting better.

Oh man...I'm totally in love. With surfing. Dude, I cannot say enough about it, it's the coolest thing I've ever done. And get this--it makes me happy. I never thought that I would do this, but I guess I've got an online journal now. Probably should have had one years ago, but could never really muster the nerve to actually do it. I'm a little bit guarded, I guess...Anyhoo, I'm going to give it a try for awhile...see how it goes...in case it's actually therapeutic to have it.
