I have a question....what does 'ps' actually stand for? I realize that this is probably a stupid question...but i really dont know.

it's used at the end of a letter. 'post' meaning 'after', and 'script', well duh.. the letter itself. so in escence, you're adding something in after the fact. which, nowadays we say 'by the way'.

no, Ali is a better English major than I am. She's right. PS is funny because I'm pretty sure at least of the people who use it don't know what it stands for but everyone knows HOW to use it.
