January 2006 flashfic: Lacuna

LacunaKagura sometimes wonders, in those moments between breaths, how one with no heart can love, but love she does. She has come to appreciate the finer nuances of dichotomy, surrounded as she is by it. Born without a mother, illogic is familiar to her; dear, even. Yes, neither she nor her siblings have a mother, but neither do they have a father ( Read more... )

I love this. Very much. I have no words to describe how I feel.... its breath-taking. (memory-ing this)

Wow, great feedback about what you liked and why. Thanks so much! I'm so happy/relieved you like it :) Sess/Kagu are definitely not a pairing I enjoy so this was hard to write, and I was so worried it would suck. I'm glad it didn't!

*nods* Understandable. My reasons for requesting it, were that its not something I've seen a lot of good fic for, and I was interested in seeing how some people might expand upon it.

Thankyou for writting it!

Well. Aren't you all bound and determined to make me fall more in love with you.

Amazingly dark, erotic, and beautiful. I came very close to crying at the end, (and I don't cry easily) so other readers probably shorted out their keyboards sobbing.

I like Sesshoumaru/Kagura but this is the only fic of the pairing that has worked for me. I agree with qem_chibati that Kagura is complex but simple. I think that is something about her that you were able to capture. Although we never get to see this far into Kagura's character in the series I believe this is definately what she would be like.

You definately captured the essence of the pairing of Sesshoumaru/Kagura...the possibility is there and strong but it is to never happen. Kind of sad but (for their characters) it is far more powerful and intense than giving in and letting them actually "be together."

This is really great. I love how you've portrayed Kagura and brought up a whole load of questions that get half answered leaving the reader half wanting more, but also satisfied.
