Taking it in stride and the hint one and the top one and... AHHH. XD All of them were simply brilliant, and most of them made me giggle my head off, except for the last, and that made me "Awwww!"

Just two things.

Strongest of all, however, was the memory of how it had felt to have his arms around her and his warm chest pressed to her back as he caught her while fighting Jidanbou.

He was fighting Jiroubou. Jidanbou's the gatekeeper big brother. ^^

I love you, I love you!!!!! Oh my favorite Bleach writer and my favorite pairing. I just ate this up. This just echoed with meanings here and there. The whole "NEVER DID" thing just tugs at my postmodern heartstrings, and these are just so damn wonderful!!
I always say "the projectiles expert" bc I can never remember that guy's name--and I don't think Hime would either! XD
I liked the last one the best.... sigh, sad.

I thought you might enjoy them :) I love the "never did" thing, too, because it's so poignant to think of what could be, but isn't-- the "lacuna" thing really interests me right now (hence why I just wrote a short story titled that).

ah well, just read them again. Yes your title "Five .. .nevers" works so much better in that wistful way than my "Five Kisses That Didn't Happen" title because mine wasn't all IshiHime... waaah, Ishihime may never be! I still think they're the dreamiest couple. I actually think Ichigo/Orihime is the one Kubo is shooting for, but my heart belongs to IshiHime.

Before OLS, I was Inu/Kag.

Now, I was already leaning a little toward Orihime and Ishida, but now I saw unto you all: that is the way it must be for now and everymore. So sayeth...me.

Heh. Actually, this is a great irony, because I myself am shifting away from Orihime/Ishida and onto Orihime/Ichigo. Although I do still like her with Ishida, whom I adore, it's just that I like her more with Ichigo. But whatever-- the world won't end if I like her with more than one guy.

And it's not like either boy is going to make it happen anytime soon. Hell, in canon, the guy who's shown her the most appreciation as a woman is Yumichika... and now I have another plot bunny. Dammit.

I like the last three immensely, but I think I like the 'take a hint' one the best. It's simple, sweet, and so like the both of them. Very much the same with the 'take it in stride' drabble.
