It took long enough....
The day has finally come...
After many many months... maybe even years of treating it with kid gloves... hoping against all hope that it would last just a few more years.
After many many MANY cold night and jumping moments.......
My daewoo has (hopefully) gone to it's final resting place.......
In other words... I GOT A NEW CAR!!!!!

Well, it's not actually new... it's a pre-owned car that i absolutely love!!! It's a red Pontiac Vibe.
For those of you who do not know my long-suffering history with my leganza... let me elaborate on some of the many special aspects of this car:
1. Heater does not work
2. The dash in the front has popped up because of the heat during the summer.
3. The rear-view mirror likes to fall off
4. The driver visor is gone
5. The passenger visor does not stay up.
6. Have i mentioned that THE HEATER DOES NOT WORK???? Especially during the winter.
7. The window was cracked in the front
8. The Driver side window didn't like to work once and a while. It would go down, but sometimes it refused to go up.
9. The car (according to Chris) was leaking transmission fluid. (Not that I would know about this one, but it was leaking SOMETHING)
10. Because the HEATER DID NOT WORK... I could not defrost when the windows would freeze over.
11. I can't really remember what it was, but something with the shocks that would cost $400.00
12. The muffler had a hole on the bottom from when i accidently put something in the gas tank that wasn't supposed to go there.
13. The in-car lights didn't work.
14. The sun-roof leaked water when it rained really hard
15. If you drove the car under 20 miles an hour, like when you're in stop and go traffic, there would be this rattling noise being made by the car in protest.
16. The plastic part next to the bottom of the rear doors were coming off
17. I think this needs to be mentioned again in the middle of winter.... THE HEATER DID NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!
18. The trunk bottom wouldn't sit properly.
19. Various dings in the car from small accidents
20. I left this till #20 for dramatic purposes... but... The car would have a tendancy to be fickle and not want to start. Literally... It would work one minute then the next, not. It's worse when it was the other way around. Once when the car wouldn't start, i called a friend over who had to go to walmart to buy some jumper cables since he didn't have any. When he got there, he tried to start the car, and the SOB started for HIM. I had tried to start it periodically during the time i waited, but the little bitch wouldn't start for me, but when HE tried, it started on the first turn. I haven't lived that one down yet with my Denton friends.
So anyway, that was my car. So the question has to be asked, why haven't i bought a new car until now? Well, honestly, I hated giving up this car. Even with all it's faults, it was still MY baby, and I knew all it's little quirks and problems. Also, it was my mother's car before she died, and the idea that I was giving her car up just depressed me. So i waited, and waited, and made excuses after excuses, but it could go on no longer! It was time....
Please... a moment of silence for my baby Daewoo Leganza......

Ok.. that's enough silence. So now my new/used car is great! Seriously, when i invisioned my next car, I really wanted a hatchback. Bigger trunk, bigger butt :),
and the space inside is great. It doesn't look that way in the pic, but I think there's more space in the Vibe then in my old Leganza, but the Leganza took up more space. Also, a few years ago, when I got pissed off and looked at new cars, one of the cars I looked at was the Toyota Matrix, but I just didn't want to pay that much. Well, the Pontiac Vibe is the exact same car! The Matrix model was bought by GM Motors and was created into the Vibe. The inside design is the same as the Matrix, and it has a bose stereo system.
So to say the least, I am really really happy with my new car. This is my car in our garage.
It's not a really good pic, but the garage isn't big enough for me to take a good pic. Especially since i didn't want to go outside because of the cold weather. I haven't named my car yet, but I'm sure it will get a name on it's own without any of my help. :) So... yea Me!!!!!
