Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike Jane Eyre? No? Just Jude the Obscure, Tess of the D'uberville's, and The Handmaid's Tale you say? Well let me tell you.

I really hate Jane Eyre. I picked the most interesting topic I could from all these stupid books we had to read, and it was stupid Jane and her making stupid Rochester her God. ( Read more... )

Aww, I totally understand where you're coming from! I don't care about this stupid French final that I'm studying for at like 12:07 a.m. now. I don't think I'm going to do very well on it and it's frustrating the hell out of me. I have to care but I don't want to! :(

It's the Lowood School. And I agree, I'm not a huge fan of the Victorian novel, especially when the main female character is stupid/crazy (which is most of the time). Although, I do like Wuthering Heights, but I think that's because everyone in that book is horrible to one another, and for some reason, I find that entertaining.

LOWOOD SCHOOL CAN KISS MY ASS!

And don't deny that you like Victorian Novels. I know what you really think. Except Pride and Prejudice isn't Victorian is it? Just admit you like cheesy romance and women locked up in the attic.

Oh, sorry about the antagonizing. I don't know what came over me. It must be the incredible suck that is emanating from the book. Or maybe it's the awful stench of bullshit that's seeping from my paper. Who knows.

I've never read Wuthering Heights, and I never hope to read it.
But I can tell you anyhow, I'd rather read than be it. ...Or something.

I hate Victorian novels. And no, Pride and Prejudice isn't Victorian. And although I do like cheesy romance every now and then, I don't know about the women locked in the attic. I think you're delirious from the suckitude that is finals. I'm gonna get back to dying now.

Re: Women locked in the attic = Rochester's first wife that went craz-ay and tried to kill Jane like three thousand times, and actually succeeded in hurting Rochester via fire. Of course, it killed her in the process but whatever.

You know what I find helps with the dying? Hot chocolate. Looooooots of hot chocolate.

Hello! You may or may not remember me from hogwarts_ch. The Christopher Moore rec. Anyway! This post made me laugh and I also hate all those books, so I have added you! If that's all right, of course. And if you decided to check out my journal, I have to warn you that I've been feeling angsty lately. End-of-term stress, I think. I don't always bitch that much. :D
