(And now I am envisioning the film actor/mathematical paper writer cross over possibilities. Like, could John Malkovitch date Erdos? Is his Erdos-Bacon number a helpful piece of input in this? Could you come up with the equivalent of a Shane-Alice number for lesbian communities??? The possibilities are endless.)
