That would actually be awesome. Most of my roommates are still looking for housing themselves, so moving dates are flexible - just let me know when you know anything.

Have you had any luck with the job search thus far (in DC or Chicago), or still just looking?

Awesome! Both the landlords and I have preference for people I know, especially rugby players (they're friends with some of the last generation of Furies, so they know ruggers are Good People), and I figure you count as both. When do you think you'll know for sure?

Ugggh I am looking for a queer/trans friendly household to move into. If only you lived here!

Boo! Clearly the problem is that you do not live here :(

Yeah BAH. Hey I need ideas as to HOW to find queer/trans friendly households? I tried CL, and found like two houses and that's it... there must be other places to look? I told my queer friends to keep me in mind if they hear anything too so... we'll see. I just can't afford to live by myself anymore really.

I wish I knew - my answer for that sort of thing is usually to leverage my rugby team. Did you search posts on Craigslist, or make a post yourself? You might just have to look at general housing posts and mention in your intro email that you're genderqueer. Ugh, that's not a fun game.... good luck!

Sure, go for it! My preference is going to be for people I already know, of course, but barring that people who know someone I know are definitely preferable to random Craigslisters.

oh yeah i totally understand about the whole rather sticking to people you know thing and i'm sure they would understand too if you've already found some friends. still, how should i tell them to get in touch with you? (it's three girls by the way)

Oh, yeah, definitely! Sorry if that wasn't clear - I'd be happy to meet them and have them see the house, etc.

Hmmm... I am actually looking for a place to live... But that probably won't work due to the nature of my living problems. However... I have another -potentially brilliant- possible proposal that it occurs to me you might like/love to help out with. I'll address it in an email. Are you your.name at gmail? I guess I'll find out if it bounces.
