If he doesnt want to hear what someone who has respected him fully as a musician has to say, then hes not a hundred percent musician. There are rules. He broke one... or a few.
Besides, he probably didnt have anything smart to say back

during the show he literally said that we could make requests in regards to the sound set up and that our (the crowd's) wish was his command. well, when he broke a string on his guitar i walked up and asked him if he'd be standing up at all... well he said "can't you see i'm working?!" i was ignoarant of his customs and got a verbal five across the eyes. it wasn't like i got punched, i think he thought i asked him to stand up right then and there, or i think he thought i asked hime to stand when i SHOULD have known that he only played sitting down.
btw- have you met ian mckay? jello biafra? calvin johnson? or mt. erie phil? i have, and i have only lived in olympia for about six months. and you'll be happy to know i think that all but one of those were asses, so i feel my hipster cred is pretty much still intact.
