Summary: I thought that my life was complete until I met you. Who are you beautiful stranger?
It’s been a week since he received his violin and also 4 days since he last had his night encounter with Donghae. It was confusing to say the least. The day after the bet was made, Donghae acted as normal as he could get. He didn’t look like he was planning anything and so he just assumed that maybe the bet was just a joke.
Today was as beautiful as any other day. Eunhyuk walked towards his classroom with an extra bounce to his step. The school would be announcing the school annual trip later on and he couldn’t wait. He decided that he shouldn’t think about Donghae and just go with the flow.
When he went inside his classroom, he realized that maybe it was too early to go to school. Nobody was there and the sun was still peeking from the clouds. He checked his watch and realized that he still had an hour to kill before school actually starts. He decided that roaming his big school won’t be such a bad idea.
He went outside and proceeded to go to the rose garden that the school lovingly took care of. The rose garden was located in a huge greenhouse at the back. Not everyone’s allowed to go in, especially since there are a lot of pranksters in school. He was only able to get in because he promised the principal that he would take care of it once in awhile.
Eunhyuk loved roses. He loved it so much to the point that the garden of their house was full of them. He didn’t know why he loved them so much but ever since childhood roses fascinated him and that still proves to be true until today.
He roamed around the greenhouse with a smile on his face. Seeing roses always made him smile and he even promised himself that once he graduates high school he’ll go on a trip to Florida to see the Snow Queen that people have been raging about.
As Eunhyuk observed the roses, he couldn’t help but feel peaceful. There was a variety of roses inside the greenhouse. There were different species of roses and every species had a variety of colours. He was so engrossed in his own world that he didn’t realize that time was ticking fast by the minute. When Eunhyuk finally had his fill of roses, he glanced at his watch and saw that he only had about half an hour to go to class.
His eyes widened, he still had to get his books from his locker. And so with another fleeting glance at the beautiful flowers, he went on his way. When he opened his locker, he was surprised to see a medium-sized box which was beautifully wrapped in an assortment of black and silver with a touch of gold at the seams.
Reaching forward to take a closer look; he suddenly remembered what he came for and decided that he would ponder on the gift later after school. He grabbed his books and hurriedly went to class. Relieved that he still had about 10 minutes before class begins; he happily flopped himself on his desk chair and waited for his teacher to come.
When the bell rang, Ms. Sunny came in with Donghae in tow both sporting grins. Donghae winked at Eunhyuk which made the other turn his head away. Donghae chuckled and proceeded to the back of the class to observe the class as he always does.
“Class, as you all know our annual school trip will happen two weeks from now and a month after that would be our much awaited prom. So today, instead of the usual class, the principal decided that everyone should participate in discussing the plans and themes for the upcoming events.”
Ms. Sunny continued with her discussion and Eunhyuk listened intently vaguely aware of someone staring at him. He was already used to it. Every class that he had with Donghae in it, he would feel someone’s eyes on him. He realized that it was Donghae and his weird stalker tendencies. At first it would leave him flustered, but as days go by, he got used to it and didn’t mind it as much as before. However, he was still a little bit self-conscious about it.
When it was finally time for gym, Eunhyuk ran past all others to get there on time. It’s not like he was late but for some reason he really wanted to see his friends and dance his heart out. When he finally got there, there were only about three people milling about. He decided to sit on the floor and listen to his iPod while waiting for his friends to come.
He didn’t know that someone was there already waiting for him. Donghae smiled and went forward to where his Hyukkie was. He was sure that Eunhyuk didn’t listen to his announcement before class ended awhile ago.
Due to the principal’s insistence, most of the classes were cancelled for today except for academics. That’s why after lunch, the students will have one more class before they’re free to go. He approached the hunched figure of his jewel and sat down beside him. He wasn’t surprised to see that Eunhyuk didn’t notice him.
He turned and stared at his jewel’s face. When he’s like this, he looks younger than his age. After staring for about 10 minutes, he decided that his jewel was probably asleep already. He didn’t want to wake up his Hyukkie, especially when he looked like he needed the rest. Instead, Donghae wrote a note and placed his head on the other’s lap and laced their fingers together and fell asleep soon after.
Eunhyuk woke up with a start. It took some time to realize where he was and when he did, his eyes widened. I slept through class. He was about to get up when he realized that he couldn’t. He looked down and was surprised to see Donghae sleeping peacefully on his lap. Eunhyuk was tempted to shove the other off him but when he saw how peaceful the other looked, he decided against it.
Eunhyuk looked at his watch and saw that more than an hour had passed. He searched around hoping that someone other than them was there but his search proved futile. When he turned to look down again, he saw a piece of paper near his iPod.
Hyukkie!! You didn’t listen to my announcement! Dance classes were cancelled along with the other PE classes. I wanted to tell you but saw you sleeping like a baby and decided to wait for you to wake up. I wrote this in case I had to leave for awhile and you wake up.

Eunhyuk couldn’t help but smile at the person sleeping on his lap. He realized that their hands were laced together. He blushed but didn’t let go, if anything he just tightened his grip on the other. Eunhyuk continued staring at Donghae wanting nothing more than to run his hands through his hair. He was pulled away from his musing when his phone vibrated. He pulled away one of his hands from the other’s grip and read the text message he just received.
Ya Hyukkie!!! Where the hell are you?? We’ve been calling and texting you for about an hour already! If you don’t come to the canteen within the next ten minutes, you’re dead!!
Heechul-hyung
Eunhyuk shivered. He was in big trouble especially since there were about 50 text messages and 56 missed calls in his cell. He sighed and decided that perhaps it was time to leave. He carefully untangled himself from Donghae and placed a jacket under his head. He wrote a note and quietly left.
He didn’t realize that Donghae was awake way ahead of him. Donghae smirked and turned over when he heard the door closing. Hyukkie, you really are too innocent. He sat up and saw a note beside him.
Ya! You should have woken me up, you idiot! My friends are looking for me and it’s all thanks to you that I’m in trouble! Anyway, be sure to wash that jacket before you return it.

Donghae laughed and placed the note in his wallet before standing up and stretching. He was really happy to say the least. He went out of the gym and grinned. He couldn’t help but think of his jewel on the way to the principal’s office. His Hyukkie was really naive.
You’ve already lost from the start, Hyukkie....

Eunhyuk was right. His friends were all mad at him when he finally sat down on their usual place at the canteen. He tried explaining that he fell asleep, but they would have none of it. That’s why as compensation, they would all go to the mall after school since class ends early. He wanted nothing more than to go home and rest but he knew that it would be impossible.
Begrudgingly, he went with them to the mall. They decided that it would be best to eat first, and then watch a movie. When the movie ended, Heechul insisted that they shop for clothes for the upcoming school trip.
“Ya! The trip will take place two weeks from now, it’s way too early for this!” Sungmin complained but shut up quickly when Heechul turned to him.
“I want to shop and besides we’re already here. So it’s either you follow or you die.”
“Fag! This is stupid!”
“You’re the one who’s stupid, fatso!”
“We’ll shop already, ok?! And Kangin, shut up and follow.”
“Yes, Teukie.” They decided that it would be best to shop, especially now that Heechul and Yesung are together. They were notorious shoppers and the way they dress show how much they love clothes.
They went from shop to shop buying clothes and shoes that they absolutely don’t need. It was decided at school this morning that their school trip would be held in Jeju Island; apparently it was Donghae who suggested the place.
The school body didn’t argue because one wink and a grin from the male, and all others will be melted into goo. Their group didn’t protest. It would become a riot if they did. After all, what they wanted was a relaxing and fun trip.
When Heechul saw that everyone had ten bags each, he decided that they all had what they needed and saw it fit to go home. Everyone sighed and thankfully piled up in their own cars. They were forced to buy everything that Heechul and Yesung found that suited them. The both of them were the best when it comes to fashion, however, they also had insurmountable amounts of energy when it comes to shopping.
It was almost closing time when they left the mall, so it wasn’t a surprise to Eunhyuk when it was already 10 p.m. when he got home. He was grateful that tomorrow was the start of the weekend and he wouldn’t need to wake up early in the morning. Aish! One of these days, I swear I’ll fall over or something.
Eunhyuk sighed and decided to just sleep. He wanted nothing more than to sleep on his comfy bed and sleep like the dead. When he was about to lie down on his bed, he saw his bag near the closet and remembered.I still have that gift from before, hmm....
He retrieved his bag from its current location and carefully pulled out the gift. It was simple yet really elegant. He took time to peel off the wrapper; it was a waste to destroy such beautiful wrapping. He took the lid off slowly and dropped it right as he saw what’s inside.
There lay among all the confetti and lace were a snow globe and a beautiful encrusted silver bracelet with engravings forming a rose. What astonished him was that inside the snow globe, was a real rose preserved and in full bloom. Its white colour was untarnished and gleamed beautifully amongst the glitter and petals inside.
Eunhyuk wanted to throw it away. Why was this person giving him all these things? How did this person know what he liked? What did this person want from him? There were so many questions and yet not even an answer.
He took a closer look at the snow globe and found a note under it. He gasped when he saw what was written.
Roses are red, yet white is for you,
Gold is marvellous, but silver shines with you,
Time will set its course and after 10 more, I will come for you......
