Gossip Girl

I watched almost all the episodes of "Gossip Girl" over the weekend (I have still 3 left for tonight). And what can I say: I love it. It reminds me of "The O.C." - just funnier and a lot more bitchy! And for an American TV-series about teenager there is quite a lot of alcohol and sex in it ( Read more... )

I was on set last year in New York (before the show even aired) and so of course I just had to watch to see the scene I saw them shooting and I got totally addicted to it...lol ;o) Fortunately they were promoting the show months in advance or I wouldn't even have known what the heck they were filming. ;o) The Palace was also only five or six blocks from where I was working, so we kept walking by in our lunch breaks to see if they were shooting...lol ;o)

I finally found a nice Rufus & Lilly-icon. There are so many of all the "kids" on the show. But I found none of these two. But now :).
I ignored the show before now. I knew nothing about it, but that Chace Crawford is in it (and that just because of all the JC-reports).
About going to the set: There are about 500 people now when they are shooting plus a lot of paparazzi. It must be crazy.

I would love to see New York. I was in Boston some years ago, but we never made it to New York. I still regret this.

Promo for the show was crazy all summer in the States, so that's how I knew the show and just jumped at the chance when I heard they were shooting. But back then, before the show was even on, it was very relaxed. I mean, people were stopping and looking a lot, but since nobody really knew what was going on, it wasn't too bad (though the PA spent his time screaming his head off, cause people just kept stopping right in the picture to gawk). And in New York you just keep stumbling upon stuff. It's mostly the tourists that make a scene, New Yorkers don't really care all that much. I ended up on the set of the Sex and the City movie, too (and I hate that show), but usually it's very organized and fans are not too much of a problem. We were allowed to stay everywhere as long as we abode to some basic rules (stay behind the magic cones, no flash photography etc ( ... )

I think if you live there you always hate the tourists. I live in city with a lot of tourists - and it's annoying.

I was just in Boston (which I really loved) and in Florida (which I just found boring).

Unfortunately I never spent a longer time abroad. And I'm afraid I never will (or even only if my husband finds a really really good job somewhere ;)).
