I love this story, Madi! You manage to convey the childlike magic of the whole situation while maintaining the adult irony. There's an elegance and sophistication in the language you use and the sentence construction. Just a really beautiful piece of work that also makes you laugh.

That story had a completely different ending than I thought it would. Much better, actually, than I thought it would. :)

Not nearly so sweetly. I was sure there'd be some sort of confrontation and possibly police involved.

I like the actual ending much better. :)

(And I do read everything you post, nearly everything on my friendslist. I'm just really bad at commenting.)
