From the Associated Press....

"AP - The economy is fundamentally sound despite the temporary "mess" it's in, the White House said Sunday..."

Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that the fundamentals of the economy are sound, after all? I think a certain Arizona Senator deserves a phone call from you know who...

*wink*

I wouldn't worry too much. Apparently 12 months of school for kids, coupled with harrassing and threatening their teachers with layoffs for "poor performance", will solve all of our problems. Yeah, not giving kids 3 months to be able to get in trouble outside of school is a real good way to make our society better.

Hehe. Politics are absurd most of the time.

fundamentally sound? HAHAHAHAHAhahahaha...mmmyeah.

I wonder how one says "Bullshit" in Chinese. Because, you know that's what they're thinking.

Oh, poor, poor McCain. No one listens to him anymore unless a media outlet of some sort (liberal or conservative) needs a resource for some spin.

At least the dude had the balls to identify that at least 40% of the earmarks in the Porkulus Stimulus bill were Republican.

"Uh, hey is that you John?"

"Well, well, well. Mr. President, what can I do for you?"

Dude, can you imagine how the rest of that call would go?

Hehe. Yeah, there is a long tradition of Presidents talking up, or talking down the economy to suit their own agendas. A few weeks ago, it was all crisis, catastrophe, and armageddon. Then the big wigs got scared and they needed to come up with a reassuring story. The irony of this particular statement was something I just couldn't pass up, though.

As for McCain, I've disagreed with him often, and he may have been the worst possible candidate for this last election, but I do still have a certain admiration for him.

I often think that the post-election South Park episode got it right, though, and that all these guys are in it together...

Hehe, yes, it all depends on the definition of the word "stable" and the definition of the word "is".
