A serious side of me....
I wrote this.... what do you think? I really like how it turned out.
REALITY
There is something that I have to say.
Among all of the screams and visions of decay.
We live in a world where fear is the norm.
If it isn't our brother then it's Mother Nature's storm.
Where prejudice and pride rain supreme.
And an uncorrupt leader is only a dream.
Where innocent children die on the street.
And other little children place bombs at your feet.
A pleading hearts' cry is silenced by lies.
And the stupid speak words that make our loved ones die.
There are those around the world who have never felt the earthquakes.
But complain of the distant tremors when they barely feel the earth shake.
Hypocrites and bigots sit in the government chair.
And people picket and protest even though we put them there!
Is this what our forefathers were planning when they created our nation?
When God on the dollar and homosexuality is more important that starvation?
It was time for change years ago.
But there is no change for us now only sad tales of woe.
There's no hope for us now when we've dug ourselves too deep.
But think of your children and their children and weep.
Because the small problems of today are anything but calm.
And tomorrow might be the day that your children hold the bomb.
