First of a little bit of explanation about this blog, I read in the paper today something that just completely disgusted me. I had to share with you, especially some of you that are politically inclined. The one that completely shocked me is in bold...these are letters to the editor of the Topeka Capital Journal......

1. It drums up controversy for the paper, thus making them more money.
2. Really, the editorial speaks for itself... any person with a semblance of common sense will read that, shake their head, and immediately dismiss the guy as an idiot (as you did). So, it's funny to me that your paper published it. :)
As for the original letter: unfortunately, he's right. If we shut down sermons for preaching what they want to preach, it's against the Constitution and, thus, creates a very slippery slope for the rest of us. We absolutely have to defend their right to free speech or we will see a very scary future in this country, indeed.
At the same time, we must also fight for our own rights to freedom from religion. If they want to go this route, then we must remind them that we don't interfere with their idiocy, so they shan't interfere with our intelligence. ;-)
And yeah, that guy who replied -- he's a moron. But fortunately, he's still in the minority.
