Vegetable-based imitations of meat products will never, ever grow more popular than meat products. I ate plenty of "meat" made with soy and other vegetables while dating my vegetarian ex, and while the stuff was tasty, the entire time I ate it I thought "this would be so much better if it had real beef/chicken/salmon/etc in it."
The vast majority of meat and fish eaters think this.
I do believe we need to eat more vegetables and less meat, but the idea of disguising those vegetables as meat does a disservice to the vegetables. If NK has delicious mountain vegetables--why not sell them as mountain vegetables? Particularly if they have vegetables unique to the mountainous region of NK; those are far more likely to sell well than fake meat products.
