LOL- thankfully, i had changed back into normal clothes before coming home, and had showered before Doug got home:). I did threaten to hug him right after telling him exactly how much of my left arm made it up a cow's ass. As for uteri- each cow only has 1 uterus, unless its a mutant of some sort. But, there were about 40 cows (if not more), and I palpated at least 5 or 6 of them. Some you could feel quite a lot, others tensed up too much and wouldn't let me put on more "rectum sleeve" as the instructor called it, to be able to move around and feel stuff.

yikes! I can't imagine "It was totally cool" and "after clearing the rectum of feces..." being in the same paragraph. I admit, I kind of cringed when reading! But I think it's fascinating to think of the things that other people can enjoy doing that i would never consider. life is beautiful. :)

You should totally try it! Its amazing what you can feel up there, especially when there's a fetus inside. You do have to be able to get over the fact that you get covered in poop and whatnot, but still its a great experience. This friday my dogs Tess and Odie (Odie's not really mine, we're watching her for a friend who's in Hawaii for the semester) get to come to school and we learn how to do physical exams on them. It should be fun, they always enjoy attention.
