... I don't know mac software, sorry, but I can use the Gif animator that comes with PaintShopPro on my PC.

I'm sure there must be some freeware/shareware out there for macs, but someone else will have to point you at it.

I might be in a hurry enough to take you up on this offer.

I'll see how I fare with the *$%!! software mentioned elsewhere.

Thanks! I got as far as downloading, and even uploading an animated pic... but it doesn't appear to be working, at least not on my comp.

I use PhotoShop, in which it's trivial; I'm happy to do it for you if you like. But yes, GifFun should do what you need.

Thanks, that's very kind of you to offer... I'm still trying to stubborn out doing it myself, and for that, thanks for the confirmation of GifFun as the package to try.

I seem to be stranded on some other problem, although it could just be a temporary LJ thing, in which my animation isn't working... but then, as I look at the other icons on this page, which i know to be animated... nada.

Crazy(and hating problems like this, getting in the way of what she really wants to be doing)Soph
