1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Got my own apartment, kept a cat alive on my own, got a full time job, graduated college, made my way onto the Dean's list, tutored, traveled with friends, spent the night in a German beer hall, had a one night stand, bought a Christmas tree, got my own health insurance.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I can't even remember if I made a resolution last year. No resolutions for the new year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Michele had her baby, Lucia.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully, no.
5. What countries did you visit?
England, Germany, Austria, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Canada.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A relationship.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
May 10th, the day I graduated.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Making my first steps into independence. No matter what happens to me in my life, I will now always know that I can make it on my own.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not speaking up and being forthright when I should have.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just the norm, thankfully.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My apartment.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My mother's. She's had a rough year and she's lost her job, but she has still helped me out financially and emotionally when I needed her. I think America should also be congratulated, for subverting expectations and voting for Obama.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Sometimes my own. Sometimes my president. Sometimes my world.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, the Mac.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting a job, graduating, going back to Europe, the Mac.

The Mama Mia soundtrack.

i. happier or sadder? Sadder, but more confident.
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter, but still working on it.
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer, but more wealthy in the life experience department.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Talking, smiling, loving (same as last year).

Kept myself holed up in my room/apartment.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Went to Staten Island for Christmas Eve, as usual, where we celebrated Megan's engagement. Then Christmas we opened presents, napped, ate Turducken, and I drove back up to Albany because I had to work the next day.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Sadly, no.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
NCIS.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No. I'm trying to let go on hate.

The Time Traveler's Wife

The Ditty Bops

Independence, a sense of self, a diploma.

I'm pretty happy with how everyone went this year.

Worked during the day, then, like last year, the parents came up and we went to Bombers with some of my friends, and then headed over to WT's.

More kissing.

Jeans, boots, t-shirts, work pants, and lab coats.

Candice, mom, Ziggy.

Still Maggie.
