I got a 03 Rav4 a few years ago and I love it. The car before that was a Mustang. Apparently, the Ford motor company cannot figure out how to make a transmission that will last past 50k miles. They will also NOT sell you a warrenty on the transmission past 35k miles.

So if they can find you an automatic in a color that you like I would recommend the Rav4. It's not too big but has enough room to move a small apartment's worth of stuff in two trips.
