And I've never really worried about my body image, mostly because I stopped caring what other people thought of me back around 1994. Its also the reason why I like the internet so much, personal appearance means nothing online.

And this belongs in your other post but I'm lazy:
"You can’t dance? But, you live in the desert." That made me laugh so hard I fully regretted drinking coffee while I was reading it, ahaha.
Oh, and I also came across lots of people who were astounded at how "good" my Spanish was. I sure wasn't fluent, but most people I met seemed to think that we'd arrived with zero Spanish and picked up our current level over the course of the couple months we'd been there. No matter how many times I explained that, no, I've been studying Spanish at home for about six years, they never seemed to grasp the concept. Weird.

I'm constantly surprised by how often I'm told my german is good. When I told these guys I'd been lerning it for several years they also gave me a very quizical look. I don't get why they think it'S so weird.
