Hey...  anyone at the warehouse happen to find a bone-handled knife with a skull carved on it? It has my initials engraved on the blade and was probably covered in various bits of entrails. It was one of my favorites, and I'll give whoever returns it a nice bottle of booze ( Read more... )

Oh, yeah, getting bloodstains out is... well, it's not easy, but I've had plenty of practice by now, if you want advice.

Oh, I've had plenty of times where I've _had_ bloodstains but... well.. any other time I would've just made one of the Baron's people do it for me.

Welcome to ship life, sweetheart. If nothing else, you can bleach the damn thing, though I'd avoid any trim or anything. Unless you want an all white jacket.

1. Get a bucket, put in the jacket, put in a scoop of strong washing powder.

2. Fill it up with cold water - don't put in warm or hot, whatever you do.

3. Let it sit for roughly 24 hours, to be safe!

4. Once it's finished soaking, rinse it out.

5. If there are any bloodstains left, get some more washing power, put it directly on the stains and then scrub!

6. Once you've finished that step, wash the jacket as you normally would. Particularly bad stains, or ones that have been left there too long may remain, but hopefully not!

Good luck!

Yeah, I got the knife. Tripped over the bastard that still had it.

Sweet! I hoped someone in our little group of bomb survivors might've snatched it. If ya want, I can come over to your room with a bottle of... well... maybe you should stop by my quarters, actually. I've got quite a collection of mostly drinkable stuff, and I dunno what you'd want.

If it's your own blood, spit will work, but that doesn't work as well if it's a different person's. The cold water and washing powder is better anyway. Why does it matter?

...How successful a pirate do you think I'd be if it were my own blood?

And it matters because I seem to have various bits of gore on one of my favorite jackets.

I don't know.

Then just clean it and don't throw a fit.

Asking for advice about cleaning such things is hardly 'throwing a fit.'

Meh. Possibly. It got quite a few holes and burn marks in it from that damn bomb-eating notcop... maybe I'll see if I can find a new one while we're in Garretstown. I need to get more stilettos and other fun sundry weaponry anyway.

...Wanna come with?

Yeah, yeah... [mutters incoherently about how of course Her favorite jacket had to be ruined bye stupid fake cops and their damn bombs] ...Pretty fun battle, though!

You ever been to Garretstown before? I've only ever flown over it. Cities that are too big don't make for good pillaging, ya know.
