*hugs* My laptop went in for repairs and they want to wipe the drive. I freaked out on them because my bloody life is on that thing. Hubby points out how irrational I am being--- he doesn't get it.
I'm lucky my photos and documents are safe (photos are backed up, documents are on laptop internal hard drive) It's all my mp3s and videos that I've lost. (I have some mp3's saved, but not many) It makes my head spin to think of all the stuff I've lost. I have a friend with an unlimited download limit and I'm now mentally planning the long hard drive recovery progress.
Mentally however. I think it's about time I go see someone.
I've had two hard drives die within 4 months of each other one 1TB and the new one 2TB So over losing my stuff like this.
btw, you heard 'you know who' is going to be at Sydney/Perth Supanova? Suppose it would be impossible for you to get to Sydney hey. I love would love the chance to finally get to met you and have hugs in the flesh... I have no idea when I'll get to Queensland next. Doubt I'm doing Brisbane Supanova this year.
Sorry to hear this happened to you Sammy... And after all the fun we had yesterday too. I hope you get loads better soon... well that and hope your life gets way better... It's the only way it can go right now. The feeling of losing everything you've got on the hard-drive is one we both share. I remember when I lost all my music, videos and pictures... about 500gb of data (back before I had all these 1tb hard-drives). That was a huge blow and I remember reacting the same way you did.
And don't worry too much about QLD, the first priority is you well being.
