Dream - [002]

“Everything looks good from here.” Luke could be heard saying. He couldn’t actually be seen yet, but the scenery was obviously in his room at his family’s mansion in Baticul. It’s much more sophisticated looking then a teenager’s bedroom normally should be. There are potted plants placed around the room, and an extravagant painting of Duke Fabre on the wall. It’s oddly clean, except for some books covering the top of various surfaces, and the messed up sheets on his bed. The maids had always made sure that his room stayed tidy.

Slowly, the view of the dream moved to the floor at the foot of Luke’s bed, where Luke was sitting with two painted wooden carvings in his hands. Both of them were very crudely made, but from the way they were painted, it was obvious that one had short light red hair, like Luke himself, and the other had long dark red hair, like… a certain easily angered God General.

“Yes, this is a fertile land and we will thrive!” Luke said while moving the Luke figurine, circling it around as if it were looking over some kind of imaginary landscape. “We will rule over all this land, and we shall call it… This land!”

Luke suddenly took on an angrier face, and turned the Asch figurine to face his own figurine counterpart. Then, he took on a deeper and rougher voice, giving his best Asch imitation. Since he was Asch’s replica, he sounded shockingly similar. “I think we should call it your grave!”

“Agh! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!” Luke shouted while bouncing the Luke figurine like he was supposed to be angry.

“Mwahaha! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! RARGH!” He shouted again in his gravelly Asch imitation, but this time his impression was way over the top. He proceeded to smack the Asch figurine into the Luke one like they were fighting.

All of a sudden, a barely contained angry noise could be heard from the direction of the door…. It was Asch! What the heck was he doing in the Fabre mansion?! He never wanted to set foot there ever before! And of course… Asch looked absolutely livid! What was Luke’s response to this? Grinning sheepishly and hiding the figurines behind his back!

Luke’s eyes shot open, and for a few moments he just laid there, blinking up at the ceiling. Seriously, What. The. Hell. He had no idea where that dream had come from! There was very little to do in the Fabre mansion, and sure he had tried to do carvings in wood to pass the time before… But honestly, he would never be THAT bored!
