I'm pretty positive most of you will know by now, but I thought I'd post it here too, because - obvious direct relation.

XF2 has been greenlighted by FOX

Nah, after all the work I and others have put into this, we'll be sending them for sure. Do you want me to take your letter out (provided I have it)?

I think the chances of it getting cancelled are pretty low now. ;)

Yep, I was going to update after the holidays. Right now it looks like we'll be sending beginning of January.

I think the letters you have received need to be delivered now before it's too late (or more late).
Not sending them is a very bad idea. It's the effort of many many fans that participated and contributed in some way. It'd be very sad if all these ends in nothing.

I think your idea of sending them to 1013 instead of Fox is really good because since the movie is happening for sure Fox wouldn't care about our letters and would throw them to the trash. And 1013 at least would feel our support.

But my suggestion is to add a kind of note to the package explaining the reason of those letters. That it was a project started with the purpose of getting another X-Files movie into production and that we are happy now but we wanted to show them the proof that x-philes never crossed their arms!

Well, I planned writing a "cover"-letter about the project and everything anyway, and yes, I thought of mentioning what you suggested too. :) Thanks for agreeing. ;D

My only concern at this point would be FOX putting the movie out straight to DVD and not in the theaters. They need to know that there is an audience out there who will go see this movie and have been waiting a very long time for it and would be very upset if it went straight to DVD.
So, I'd say definitely send the letters but also mention the release issue as well. :)

I agree with hulamoth, after all the obstacled everyone had to climb to get to this point, I don't think they'll produce it for straight-to-DVD-release. But I can certainly mention it. ;)

Nah, its definitely getting a theatrical release. I think its July 25th, 2007. Which I will be buying multiple tickets for.
