You don't need to listen to them, you know. I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it.

[Amanda is heavily affected. Basically, she still passed her test and kicked the drugs, but declined John's offer of apprenticeship. She went to work for Jill's charitable drug addiction clinic and died while shoving Jill out of the building when a man with a ( Read more... )

[mirror!hoffman has heard the speech before and agreed with her. He's pointed people to it.]

Spending an eternity in hell when we have a chance to go back? To see the people we left behind?

You know the price of being allowed to go back. It isn't worth that!

You will let yourself sit here and be tortured.

...Did Jigsaw give you that? That strength?

[Snappishly:] He has a name. He's a person.

[And then she relaxes a little.]

...and yes. He gave me the strength to be true to myself. To never be corrupted by a system like this.

Better to remember home then return to it too warped with hatred to know the ground under your feet. I will dream of Aurora and resist.

I do what I can to help people hold on. It's not much, but as long as I have something to give...

Not even the wardens. Not all of them are. You've seen those that have been demoted. And there are others... And yet I fear what would happen to them.

And yet you're still seeing all the wardens the same? My fi- my friend is one of them, if not by choice. And my own warden isn't evil. she's not a bad person, just a foolish one. Selfish, perhaps, but still, she's just a young girl. I am sure whatever she is here for, it's a wish borne out of foolish youthfulness.

[This Rassilon almost fits the "eternally sad" description.] She's just a young girl. And a nice one, too, I'm sure. If she would just listen and leave...

It's their system doing this, not ours. If they resist, then I don't count them among the wardens. I count them as allies.

[In a sing-songy sigh.] Mmm, noooo. It's never enough.

You just-- just have to make it so they can't touch you.

How would you suggest doing that? Cooperating? Maybe selling the others out?

You're more than welcome. I'll do what I can until they find a way to shut me up permanently.

I'd let my silence show that shutting me up wouldn't make me give in.
