AMANDA'S GAMES
Pre-Barge
The Classroom Trap - [Video] - Troy, a man who had been to prison over and over again during his life, awoke in an empty elementary school classroom to find chains hooked into his flesh at various points in his body. His instructional tape told him that in order to survive, he would need to rip the chains from his body and leave the classroom before a timer expired. When the timer expired, it would trigger a large nail bomb placed before him, which would kill him. The chains were hooked into his lower jaw, shoulders, arms, hands, obliques, legs, and Achilles tendons. When the video ended, the timer began and Troy painfully ripped the chains through his flesh, one at a time. He managed to remove all the chains but the one looped around his mandible, and was killed in the resulting explosion. This was one of Amanda's inescapable traps: not only would the mandible chain be impossible to remove, being fastened around the strongest bone in the human body, but the door to the classroom was also welded shut. Troy was certain to die.

The Angel Trap - [Video] - Allison Kerry, a detective who worked almost obsessively on the Jigsaw case, awoke suspended above the floor of an abandoned building. She was in a leather harness which lined her ribcage on either side with a row of needles. Each needle was hooked into an individual rib, and the needle arrays were also fastened to two folded metal arches placed behind her. Hanging before her was a jar filled with a powerful acid, fastened in such a way to prevent the jar from being tipped and its contents from being spilled. A key was dropped into the jar upon Kerry regaining consciousness, and an instructional video began to play on a television in front of her. Admonishing her for spending her life among the dead at the expense of her relationships with the living, the video instructed her to reach into the jar of acid before the key was dissolved and use it to unlock her harness. She had one minute before a timer ran out, and after some hesitation plunged her hand into the acid. It took two attempts to retrieve the key, and her hand was left badly corroded. She successfully unlocked her harness, but came to realize that the needles could not be removed from her ribs, as they were hooked directly into bone, and a second lock at the back of the device held the needle arrays themselves in place on the device's frame. Amanda then entered the room in order to delight in the spectacle, and Kerry recognized her from her status as a Jigsaw survivor. Kerry raised her arms and grabbed hold of the chains connected to the arrays in an attempt to stop the device, but it was no use. The two arches behind her swiftly unfolded and raised in a manner similar to a pair of angel wings, which completely ripped both sides of her ribcage from her body in opposite directions. She collapsed and died as her internal organs spilled out onto the floor. This was another of Amanda's inescapable traps.

The Shotgun Collar - [Video 1] - [Video 2, apologies for the Spanish] - This was a large collar equipped with five loaded shotgun shells, spanning one side of the test subject's face to the other. Amanda placed and locked this around the neck of Dr. Lynn Denlon, a brain surgeon she abducted from a local hospital. The hammers below each shell were clicked back, and the collar was linked electronically to John's heart rate monitor. John was near to death at the point this occurred, and instructed her that her task was to keep him alive until another series of games he was running for a man named Jeff were completed. If he flatlined, or Lynn moved more than 30 feet from the series of rooms she was confined to in an attempt to escape, the collar would detonate and blow her head off. She performed a trepanation to ease the pressure on John's brain, saving him from death by seizure. It is possible, but not confirmed, that this collar was designed to be inescapable; the key Amanda wore around her neck did not fit the lock, but the key could have been a fake (with the real key hidden somewhere safe, just in case Lynn attacked her for it; she did try this, near the end).

Amanda, reading a note left for her by Hoffman, realized that if she did not kill Lynn Denlon, Hoffman would inform John of her role in the death of his unborn child. Unable to bear the possibility, Amanda shot Lynn...just as Jeff, who turned out to be Lynn's husband, entered the room with the handgun and single bullet won from his games. He shot Amanda in the neck, killing her. Jeff's final test was to choose between forgiving or killing John; he cut John's throat with a rotary saw, and when John died of blood loss the collar's shells were fired, utterly obliterating Lynn's face and head before she could die of her gunshot wound.

Plus: undefined assistance with John's traps, especially his personal favorite, "The Rack"

On-Barge
The Burn Trap - [Log] - Under the pretense of being injured and needing medical assistance, Amanda lured Victor Frankenstein to her room and knocked him unconscious. When he awoke, he found himself in a chair with all but his head restrained, and a red-hot metal sheet was positioned before his face. Using a pig mask and a voice-changing device, Amanda, in-person, told him that he would be given a chance to redeem himself for his bigotry of those who were unusual-looking and deformed. He had a minute to press his face against the heated metal plate hard enough to unlock his restraints, thus deforming his face, before a wire looped around his spinal cord would be yanked against it and cause an abrasion leading to quadriplegia. Victor succeeded, and escaped the trap with his mobility intact--and a massive new scar to put him in the shoes of those he disrespected.

The Abattoir - [Log] - Amanda designed this trap for Jean-Claude Clapet, a butcher who killed and cooked two other Barge residents during a power outage. With the assistance of Emil Blonsky, one of Clapet's victims, Clapet was knocked unconscious and dragged into Blonsky's room. Blonsky duct-taped a knife to the palm of Clapet's right hand, and Amanda locked a device around his face that protruded into his mouth and settled his tongue between two opposing razorblades. This device was connected to a digital postage scale via a metal wire. Upon awakening, Clapet was told that he had to cut two pounds of flesh (a pound for each victim) from his body and place it on the scale, which would allow him to disconnect the facial rig from the scale without triggering it. Then he could walk across the room and obtain the key to unlock the device and remove it before it severed his tongue, causing him to bleed to death. The timer was set for two minutes, and by hacking two pounds of muscle from his leg, he succeeded and escaped with his life (and narrowly avoided bleeding to death from the gaping wound in his leg). Blonsky was angry that he didn't die, and Clapet's warden, Donny, beat Amanda nearly to death as a result.

Hoffman's Test - [Log] - As soon as Hoffman arrived and made his first post, Amanda went hunting for him. Some days before this, she'd constructed a Borgia ring from an old chunky junk ring, a clipping from a sewing needle, part of a mechanical pencil's spring and a small, thin rubber sac (made from the bulb of an eyedropper) filled with a sedative procured from Rex. When the ring's stone was pressed, the sharp needle tip shot from the stone's setting and punctured the sac of sedative before stabbing into the target's flesh, which then leeched the sedative into the puncture wound. After impersonating Allison Kerry's voice to make him open the door and using this ring to knock Hoffman unconscious, she dragged him into his room and duct-taped his wrists to his bedpost.

Upon waking up, Hoffman was informed that he had five minutes to give Amanda one good reason not to kill him. Instead, he informed Amanda about Jill and John's deaths, and she experienced a mental and emotional breakdown. She stabbed him repeatedly in the stomach with a Swiss Army Knife and partially gutted him, accidentally killing him in the process before she considered herself "done with him." Crazy with rage and grief, she cut his throat anyway and collapsed into a state of complete despair.

Hoffman's Retribution, Part One - [Log] - After Hoffman failed his test, she declared that not only had be lost his life once, but permanently forfeited his right to live. After recovering from her death at his hands, she jumped him from behind in the corridor outside the inmate bathrooms. Clinging to his back, she covered his mouth and wrenched his head aside with one hand, and used the other to carve his carotid artery open with her last razor blade. After taunting him quietly and watching him bleed out on the floor, she casually took a shower to remove his blood from her body. She was apprehended by Angelica Sexby at the end of her shower and taken to Zero, after tricking Angelica into letting her change into clean clothes.

Hoffman's Retribution, Part Two - [Log] - During the animal flood, during which Amanda became a Woodchat shrike (a species of bird known for impaling its prey on sharp objects), both Hoffman and Amanda's current warden, Sarah Harding, both became hyenas. Having just allowed herself to trust Sarah not too long before that, despite her suspicions of a (nonexistant) affair between the two of them, this caused her to fly (no pun intended) into a rage. This rage, combined with residual anger from being injected with heroin by Hoffman a few weeks prior, caused her to steal a toothpick from the kitchen, rip one of Hoffman's eyes out of his head and impale it on the sliver of wood for him to see.
