Aaaand the job hunt continues! I'm applying at schools for substitute teaching, which I actually feel really positive about. An admin in one of the schools told me straight out that they need subs really bad.

You seem to be at a good start for taking up Hunter S. Thompson's legacy. You have the energy and the passion for it at least. Just sayin, might be a good idea ;) . BTW, told you Substitute teaching would be a good idea, I'm sure you'll get it for sure! :)

Holllyyyyyyyy fuckbeans. Don't know who this is D: A lot of people told me substitute teaching would be a good idea.

As for taking up the legacy, I'm laughing. I'm actually pretty chilled out when it comes to many things. I don't have Thompson's hellfire and brimstone badassery. Except when I become really passionate on paper. Maintaining the passion for a long time is just...tiresome. If I tried (and succeeded and was recognized as something other than a radical liberal hack), I'd burn out quickly. Since I'm too much of a pansy to try drugs or crawl into a bottle of hard booze and cheap thrills, I'd have no way of coping.

If I did go into journalism some time in the future, however, I would totally want to become a gonzo journalist - not exactly like HST, because that would be a sad imitation.

well, don't be another HST, be you of course. I'm just saying that you do have the energy and passion, at least the few times we've talked politics you seemed to have it. You're a good writer and it would be a shame to let that go to waste. It is I, Leo, btw ;)
